Matt’s Session Notes - OCA 2021 

So nice to meet you!

Thank you for attending my session at OCA’s Spring into Summer Educational Series. It was a pleasure getting to work, play and teach together.

First Class Counselors Podcast - A Podcast dedicated to all the things you wish you had time to teach our staff during training. Perfect for asynchronous training.

Schlockey - A recess game that I learned in elementary school. You can buy your own here, but I built these for the price of a sheet of pressure-treated plywood ($84) and 3, 2x4s (~$25) and screws ($5). People donated old hockey sticks and pucks. I also built these with the Grade 8’s at my school. They loved sawing off the hockey sticks with hand saws and assembling the board with a screwdriver. The only thing I did on my own was cut out the puck-holes with a jigsaw. See a video of it being played here.
