At which camp were you a camper?

  • Camp Kearney

What camps have you worked at?

  • Onondaga Camp

  • Olympia Sports Camp

  • Camp Huronda

  • Camp Adelaide

  • Doe Lake Girl Guide Camp

Why is working at summer camp important to you?

Because we have the opportunity to build connections with young people.

Who is a camp leader you look up to and why?

The women from the Women in Camp Summit team come to mind because of their desire to make the world better for others. They are doing something no one else is and are constantly inviting others to join them in their work. True community builders!

What was the first time you were noticed and appreciated by an adult that wasn't your parent?

In high school, I was a stage manager and the teacher in charge of the program really encouraged me to step into my leadership through that. It's a role that is never the centre of attention but she taught me how vital it is to have things run smoothly behind the scenes. Many of the skills I gained and loved in stage managing transferred over to camp directing when I left high school.
