Why is working at summer camp important to you?
Camp is the ultimate team sport. My passion for coaching and teaching has allowed me the opportunity to bring people together, help develop individual talent and facilitate teams of leaders to deliver this great experience called camp.
Who is a camp leader you look up to and why?
Too hard to pick just one, but Larry Bell, Ted Cole and Michael Brandwein have played a significant role in the camp leader I am today.
There isn’t a day where I am not drawing on a lesson learned from these 3 legends.
What was the first time you were noticed and appreciated by an adult that wasn't your parent?
My first volleyball coach, Dan Calinescu was really the first person who encouraged my skills as an athlete and leader.
It is the first example (that I can really remember) of impactful mentorship, coaching and guidance I received growing up.
I believe it served as a springboard to developing my passion for contributing to a team.
